The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) honored Dang Phong Production – Commerce – Service – Import and Export Co., Ltd as one of only five enterprises to win the Vietnam Intellectual Property Golden Cup Prize 2013, within the framework of the selection program, 86 participants attained 33 awards of the first, second and third structure of VIFOTEC 2013.

On April 24, at the Opera House (Hanoi), the closing and awarding ceremony for the Science and Technology Innovation; The WIPO Prize and the Vietnam Intellectual Property Gold Cup Prize 2013 have been held.

Member of the Politburo, Chairman of the Central Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front Mr. Nguyen Thien Nhan; Mr. Nguyen Quan – Minister of Science and Technology; Mr. Dang Ngoc Tung – President of the Vietnam Trade Union Confederation; representatives from relevant ministries, scientists, etc.

This year, the Organizing Board awarded the Science and Technology Innovation to 33 selected projects from 86 exhibitions, including 5 first prizes, 5 second prizes, 12 third prizes and 11 encouragement prizes.

Awarded projects are in 6 fields, including: mechanics-automation; material technology; information, electronics, telecommunications; biology for production and life; environmental protection and rational use of resources; energy saving and new energy using.

Also in the ceremony, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) awarded for the best project: “Research on the application of reinforced concrete in the underground technical infrastructure in urban area of Vietnam”of the Drainage and Urban Development One member Company Limited of Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province. Engineer Nguyen Thi Nguyet, Chairwoman of the project: “Research and design of 3-phase transformer 500kV – 3 x 150 MVA” won the best female author.

The best young authors are M.a Pham Van Toan, Engineer Ngo Thanh Binh, Ph.D Nguyen Van Tan from Lac Hong University, with the project “Design and manufacture of automatic assembly system”.

The Vietnam Intellectual Property Gold Cup Prize 2013 was awarded to 5 companies: Hoa Tho Textile and Garment Joint Stock Company, Danang City; Dang Phong Production-Commerce-Service-Import and Export Company Limited, Dak Lak Province; Saigon Plastic Joint Stock Company; Drainage and Urban Development Co., Ltd, Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province; Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest Company.

Congratulations to the award-winning scientists in 2013, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Mr. Nguyen Thien Nhan emphasized that through 19 times, the winning projects contributed to mobilizing the emulation movement to study Create science and technology in the contingent of scientific and technical staff throughout the country, contributing to national construction.

Also at the ceremony, the Ministry of Science and Technology launched the Science and Technology Innovation Award 2014.
